Sadly, he finds the little guy stuck in a pipe under the sidewalk. The pipe is amongst countless water and electricity and sewage lines, so they can't just punch their way down and pull it out.
But there's already two fallen comrades and the last one is crying and so weak. He won't last another day. BY RAO, THEY HAVE TO SAVE IT!
"In here!" He drops to his knees beside the grid that the kittens must have fallen through. At least that thing is easily removed with a light tug.
Thor hurries after him, following closely as if the very fate of the universe depends on finding this poor little kitten. Alas, that they were not able to save the other two! They SHALL be given a proper warriors burial later on, befitting their terrible demise in this direst of locations.
The god of thunder IS about two seconds away from ripping apart the street to help the creature out, regardless of consequences. Because Thor. But he goes the patient route instead and lies out on the ground, blocking traffic and pedestrians alike, because again, Thor.
